Lana Wayne, her long, dark hair swirling about her slender shoulders, her svelte, curvaceous body poured into a tight fitting, low cut, electric blue sequined dress slit up the side to show off her elegantly turned legs, danced to the music her three-piece back-up band played. She put out considerably more energy than the drums, bass and piano, even though the latter three were electrically amplified.
After the rather repetitious piano solo, she stepped across the stage and up to the microphone and sang in a quavering, slightly flat voice: "Haw-aw- aw-awnky tonk lover! Gim-me, gim-me, gim-me the honky tonk blues!"
